It's been HOW long?????

Wow. I cannot believe it has been 3 months since my last post. Not sure what happened, but I'm back now! Lots of stuff to share. I have been fooling around trying to make faux cupcakes. Anyone who knows me knows I cannot cook, and the same goes for "faux" food, lol! Two tubs of "icing", lots of Styrofoam balls and cupcake liners, I THINK I have it down. Having some trouble getting the vanilla cupcakes the right color, but I am loving the chocolate cupcakes. I want to get a few more under my belt so I can add them to my Etsy shop. I have ditched the balls (too expensive and not the right size) nixed the liners (didn't work with my "new" cupcakes) using nut cups instead, and figured out the icing. I have sooo many ideas for Christmas tree ornaments, I cannot wait!

*Notice the fingerprints in the Marie cupcake? I woke up this morning and I guess curiosity got the best of Mia and she admitted to touching them. :)

I have been busy getting ready for our "Adults" only Halloween party. I have never had a Halloween party, so this is all new and exciting. I will share more as it gets closer to Halloween. I will say that Big B and I are going as Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter. I got my costume last week, no we need his.

Alright, I have to pick the girls up from school, I promise I will post more tomorrow!

It's been a crazy couple of weeks! My mom just left after coming down and staying for a week to watch the girls dance recitals, so I barely had time to breath between the dress reherasls and recitals. Ella has her preschool graduation tonight, and Mia is done with school on friday. Yipee!!!!! I can sleep in!!

I have to admit, they were the cutest ones in the show! ;)

My mom and I stopped at a thrift store, and I could not believe my good luck! I found a HUGE bag of vintage seam binding for $5.00!!!!!!!! I snatched it up!

I managed to steal a few hours to myself while my mom watched the girls and I went to an antique store and found a couple of goodies...

I had a wonderful day yesterday! I had the day off of work, and for mother's day I wanted a few hours to myself, so I went to an antique store. I found a vintage sewing basket, and I literally squealed! The people around me thought I was nuts! It is so stinking cute!

I just finished up a mermaid shadowbox for my Etsy store and realized I haven't posted in a while! I have been working on a new Marie shadowbox (sold) the mermaid shadowbox (just listed) and a fairy box I hope to have finished by monday.

I made this sweet little box for me, I like the simplicity of it. I thought it needed more at first, but I like her the way she is now.

I am almost at week 4 of no smoking, and I tell you it's been pretty rough. Hopefully it will get better soon. I'll post more once I have the fairy done. Happy Mother's day!!!!

I feel bad that I have not posted much this past month. Today marks day 7 of no smoking, and the past 2 days have been the worst so far. It's hard to concentrate on anything, I feel like I'm walking in a fog. It's a really bad feeling, and I wish the cravings and the depression would just stop. I woke up this morning, and realized I had forgotten to print out something very important for Mia's school, and just had a meltdown. I couldn't stop crying for a good 10 minutes. Poor hubby is doing his best to be very very supportive, but my constant bad mood is starting to wear on him. Hopefully by next Monday this will become bearable. :)

I am happy that I finally finished my Marie-Antoinette theater. I have been working on this for almost a week (see what I mean about concentrating, lol??) and I feel it needs more bling, but I cannot stare at it anymore. So I am putting it aside for now, maybe I will come back to it later.

I realized my mom's B-day is Friday and I hadn't made her anything yet, so I worked on this cat all day. She loves anything with cats, and she loves country (So NOT my thing!) so hopefully she will like it!

I used my 50% off coupon at Jo-Ann's and got this sweet little book I have had my eye on for a while. Can't wait to sit down and look over all the pages...

I am reading Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife by Linda Berdoll (a spin off of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice) and LOVE it! If you take it as a sequel to the book, it's very disappointing. But as a book by itself, I am enjoying reading it. Reading seems to be the only thing I can concentrate on for more than 5 minutes...

I went to the thrift store yesterday and found some sweet vintage costume jewelry! I can't wait to use them in a project.

I finished a batch of my "cookies" and just added them to my Etsy store. I started another batch of just pink and white frosted ones, but my eyes hurt from staring and beads, so I think they will have to wait until tomorrow.

Btw, day 2 of no smoking! Yay for me!

Marie Antoinette "shoe"

I am in love with the new Marie Antoinette magazine, and decided to make a "shoe" like the one I saw in the magazine. I am so happy with the way it turned out, I cannot wait to make more!

I made Ella another dress, but I forgot to take pics so I will post it later. Also, today is day 1 of no smoking. I have quit before, so I know today is the easiest, it's day 3 and 4 I'm worried about. :( Wish me luck! I was up to 2 packs a day (I know, horrible huh?) so this is going to be very difficult for me. But I do have a wonderful incentive. Hubby said if I can go 6 months smoke free, we will go to London again for a week. I would say that's a pretty good incentive if you ask me ;). I love London. We went a couple years ago and I have wanted to go back since. I keep joking that we may just not come back,lol!

I received my box from my partner @ Petticoat Junction Easter swap, and let me tell you I am beside myself!!!!! You should have heard me squealing when I opened the box! Am am sooo in love with the shabby apron she sent, and the sweet little strawberries are just to die for!!! I cannot wait to use the sweet shabby bag, and she sent an Easter pillow with real lavender stuffed inside!! I could smell it before I opened it!!! Swoon..... lol! She tailored everything in the box to just what I love! Oh, I cannot thank her enough!!!!

Marie Antoinette paper doll...

So I was shopping yesterday (and spent too much money) and found the Marie Antoinette Somerset magazine I have been all over town trying to find! I went to Barns & Nobles and Borders, but they had never heard of it. I found it by chance at Michaels! And it was the last copy! Yay for me!

I am in a paper doll swap on Swap-bot, so I decided to make a Marie Antoinette paper doll! I am so thrilled with the way she turned out! You cannot tell in the pic, but she has glitter all over her crepe paper dress. I am thinking I may have to make another one and keep her for myself! What do you think???

I made Mia a dress just like the one I ordered on Etsy. I'm happy with the way it turned out considering I didn't have a pattern. I will post pics of her in it soon...

I swear, making these cute dresses for Ella is addicting!!!!!! I just ordered more fabric and am going to stop at another fabric store before work. The whole process of picking out the fabrics and seeing the end result is very satisfying!

So I am officially addicted to the WII fit. I have used it every day for the past 2 weeks and love how I feel! I haven't lost much weight, but I have not been watching what I eat either, lol. I hope to reach my goal of -10 pounds before our vacation to Florida at the end of June.

Oh, and I rented Twilight this weekend, and let me tell you I was sorry I wasted my money!! I haven't read the books, and based off the movie I have no desire too! I just don't see what all the fuss is about. Oh well. I guess I must be too old...

Thrift store finds!!!!

Oh, I cannot believe my good luck today!!!!!! I stopped by a couple of thrift stores, and found the best treasures! I found a Vintage Hershey Kiss box, and just fell in love with the colors. TWO DOALLARS!!!!!!! OMG, I almost screamed, lol!

And I found some vintage magazines from 1903 and 1929! There was a stack of about
15, but with a price tag of 13.00 per magazine, the wallet would only allow for 2. I may have to stop back tomorrow for just one more...

I am sooo happy with the way my dress turned out! I used the Portabellopixie pattern I bought last month (modified it a bit)and Ella looks so darn cute in it!!!!

My next project will be a dress for Mia...

I finished finding all my goodies for the cupcake swap I am in, I hope she likes everything!

Oh, and I have got to tell you about the deal I found at TJMaxx!! I found this plate and cake knife for $5.00 TOTAL!!!! Can you believe it??? I was beside myself when I found it! I love TJMaxx...

And I went to Borders with the intention of buying the new Somerset Studio "Marie Antoinette" magazine, but it was not there. :( I was trying to avoid paying shipping, but I guess I will have to. It was not a total loss, I did get this one...

I did get a layout done with Gina Marie Huff's new kit "Life is Good" kit.

It's been forever since I posted anything! I wasn't feeling good last week, and was just Blah. I feel better today, so hopefully I can get some stuff done!

I ordered Mia an ADORABLE dress on Etsy, and have my eye and a few for Ella, but the wallet will not allow it for a couple weeks. :(

I received my swap from the "winning hand" swap I was in, and just love the little kitty she made me!

Thank goodness all my Easter swaps are done and sent. I've been working on Easter stuff for so long, I'm almost over it and it's not even here yet, lol! Here are the pics of what I sent:

Sorry it's been a while since I posted! I haven't felt good the past couple days, not sure what is wrong. I may just be stressed. For some reason, I am super stressed about all the swaps I am in! I'm feeling very overwhelmed, and to tell you the truth cannot wait till they are done. :( Once the Easter stuff is sent out (hopefully this weekend) I'm going to take a break from swapping for a bit.

I got my bag from the handmade bag swap on swap-bot I am in and love it! It's from Italy, and she sent me a cute little tin of candy! I love getting things from different countries, it's so mysterious!

I finished the "Charming Handbag" for the swap I am in. I hope she likes it.

I wish I could show you all my Easter goodies I am sending my partners, but I want to wait till they get them in the mail. :)

Shabby Crown!!!!!!

I am SOOOOOOO excited about what I made! I worked all day and well into the night, with glitter from head to toe, (and all over the house!) and finished the birthday crown! I just added them to my Etsy store! The girls have demanded one for their birthdays! So I hope that is a good sign. Lot's of glitter and crepe paper, perfect for a birthday! I think I may make one in pink and blue next. What do you think???? I would love some feedback!

If you remember a couple posts back, I bought a paper doll book at an antique store. I decided to alter her dress a bit, and she is soooo cute! Not sure what I will do with her, but there she is, lol.

I worked on this box all night, and LOVE how it turned out! I just added it to my Etsy store.

I finished my tote for the handmade tote swap I am in, I hope she likes it! (I managed to make ANOTHER fabric flower. I cannot help it, they are so easy and so cute!

Oh, I forgot to post that I finally bought this pattern that I have been drooling over for ages! I think the reason I held off so long is that I am afraid to make it, lol! But I plan on making lots of cute dresses for the girls!

Have to work tonight, so I will not have any time to craft :( Maybe tomorrow....

It's been a while since I posted! Sorry, it's been a busy couple of days! I recieved my goodies from the "my favorite things" swap I was in, and just love everything! I LOVE Sephora, but do not get to shop there very often. Thank you Julie!

I made a cute skirt (modified a bit) from a free pattern from Oliver + S blog, and it was ment for Ella, but after it was done and I put it on her, it was just way to big, so now Big sis Mia gets it! I made a matching headband to go with it. Do you think I have a problem with headbands??? LOL! I think my count on headbands now is 9! The girls are tired of trying them on.

I snapped a couple of pics of Ella yesterday, it was unusually hot, so it was a great day to go outside. Ella wanted to wear her flip flops, and kept walking out of them, lol. She needs to get her summer feet!

Easter boxes...

I just finished and added these cute boxes to my Etsy store! I had originally made them for my swap partner, but really loved how they turned out so I made some for me and some to put in my store! What do you think???

I finished my egg I have been working on and am very happy with the result:

And I found a spot to put all my glittered Easter eggs. I decided against making a garland, I tried stringing the eggs, but couldn't get the wire through.

Hubby got me a Polarizing filter and a new lens for my camera last night and I am beside myself!!!!!!! Thanks hubby!

We went to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus last night and let me tell you it sure has changed since I was a kid! Not quiet sure I liked it. There were lots and lots of girls with barely any clothes on dancing around too provocatively, I think I counted 5 clowns, and everything there was way too expensive! Cotton candy was TEN DOLLARS!!!!!! Can you imagine??? Of course Ella did not understand that we were not going to pay that much and cried for 20 minutes. The girls enjoyed themselves, and it was a long show (2 hours) but it didn't seem like the circus, more of a long choreographed show. Oh well. Nothing is like it used to be. Not sure what I am getting into this weekend, but if I get anything done I will post! TGIF!

More headbands...

I haven't had much time to craft in the past couple days, but I did
manage to finish a couple headbands. I am totally addicted to them! They are so easy and cute, and the girls seem to like them.

I got my Coffee ATC from my swap partner the other day, and it is so neat! I am VERY new to ATC, and not really sure what you do with them once they are made, but they are fun anyway.

I had the ENTIRE weekend to myself! Hubby dropped the kids off at my mom's house on Friday night and drove to Connecticut, and didn't come back till Sunday! I got so much done! I have not had the house to myself or slept in my bed BY MYSELF for 8 years! I only wish I had not picked up Saturday so I could have had the whole day. Oh well. I had a great time none the less. I got Chinese on Friday night, watched some TV, and did lots of crafts. I couldn't take pics cause hubby had my camera. :(

I found a cute pattern to make felt flowers and finished the felt headband I had started working on a while back. I love how it turned out!

I liked the way the flower turned out so much, I went a little crazy! I made a bunch of fabric flowers, and some paper ones. Not sure what I will do with them yet, maybe make them into pins??

I made a Easter cone for the vintage Easter swap I am in and a cute little Basket.

I used the pattern for the felt birds I make on paper and used lots of glitter to make 2 cute tags. Or maybe ornaments??

Finally finished the blue glitter Easter eggs for the garland I want to make:

I found the nests I bought a while back at TJ Maxx that I couldn't find. I just LOVE robin's eggs. They are so cute and delicate!

I stopped at an antique store yesterday and found some cute goodies! I found a bank book from 1949 for $3.50! I saw lots of old pics next to the postcards I got, and every time I saw one I wanted to know more about that person. They seemed so unhappy. It made me sad. :( I found a paper doll book, not sure what I will do with it yet, but I had to have it, lol.

Just wanted to share a couple pics hubby took while they were in New York. He HAD to have Starbucks, and ended up with a parking ticket! I told him that was the most expensive parking in New York! He snapped some pics of the new building they are putting up at the World Trade Center. It gave me chills.

Handbags...

It seems handbags are my new obsession. I joined Charming Handbag Swap from the "Bend the rules Sewing" book, and since I had never made one before, I thought would try the pattern out. I have to tell you, I'm not a fan of the handle, but I love the overall design of it. I modified it for another bag I made for a swap where the colors are pink and yellow. I LOVE how cute it is! I really want to keep it for myself, but hubby says it's too "Young" looking for me and my old age of 32! ;)

I found ADORABLE Easter glitter houses yesterday and HAD to have them. They were calling my name! I have a weird obsession with Christmas Putz houses, and am always on the lookout for them. Aren't they just too cute?? There were 2 more different ones, but those will have to wait until payday :(.

I have the house to myself for the ENTIRE weekend, and am looking forward to SILENCE! (Something that is unheard of in my house!) I will post more later!

I opened the mailbox to find I had 2 swap items! Yippee! I love getting mail, lol! I recieved a very cute pincushion, and a Valentine ATC.

I think my mojo decided to take break, so I didn't do much crafting today. I made a cute felt Easter egg, not sure what I am going to do with it, but there you have it, lol.

A good cry never hurt anyone...

So as I said last night, I do not like my hair. Add to that the girls would not stop fighting, and snapping at hubby which made him angry, I literally sat in the middle of the floor and had a SOBBING cry for about 10 minutes. And let me tell you, it felt so good!!!!! I woke up this AM feeling so much better!

I was very productive today. I finished the pink eggs, (I blew out all the yoke, painted it pink, then added glitter) and started some Robin's Egg blue ones which I plan on making into an egg garland.

I made the girls a cute tooth pillow (even though poor Mia has lost most of her teeth, she has a loose one now and Ella has not lost one yet, so it should get some use) which I had had to make 2 times. The first one didn't turn out right, the glue was not sticking, so in the end I scrapped it and sewed the pocket on. You can find the pattern here:

And I just finished a little change purse to put inside the one I just made, but I realized I do not have any snaps. Sigh, lol. Every time I go to finish something, I have to run to the store because I forgot something. I really need to start making list's.

I was looking forward to having the entire day to get things done, but hubby's friend just called and asked us to bring the kiddo's for a WII tournament, lol. I guess there will be 2 WII systems, lots of kids and milkshakes. FUN! Have a great weekend!

Today started out really good, i was excited to get my hair cut. It's been a couple months and I was ready for something new. So I told her I wanted something funky, and she could do whatever she wanted. Well, don't ever say that to your hairdresser!!! I Really really do not like my hair, and feel like crying. Poor hubby keeps assuring me it will grow out, but my hair grows at a snails pace, so I will have to walk around with this for months. Sniff sniff. Sigh. It put me in a bad mood. Oh well. Moving on, I finished up a couple of swap things:

And I used my 40% off coupon at Michael's to get this cute Martha Stewart Bunny punch I have had my eye on. I LOVE sales, lol!

Not sure what I am going to get into tonight, I think I might pop in Sense and Sensibility and have a good cry. :( Have a great night!

New bag!

I made a purse/bag with my new fabric yesterday, and am soooo happy with the results! I even made a button hole! My sewing machine does not have a foot for buttons, so I improvised. What do you think?? I really should have added a pocket inside, but I had already sewn it by the time I realized it. :(. I guess I could make a little change holder to go inside.

Wow it's been a while since I posted! This whole week has been a blur, lol! Today I finally have some time to breath and look forward to doing something creative! I finished my Penny Pockets for the swap I am in, I hope she likes them! This was the first time I have made them and look forward to playing with fabrics and making more. Maybe a banner for Easter or Christmas...

I recieved my toys from the Handmade toy swap I was in and LOVE what I got! Aren't they just the CUTEST????? My girls love them. I will take pics with the girls tonight after school. Thank you Susan!!

I ordered FREE SPIRIT DARLA fat quarters the other day and I am honestly AFRAID to use them! I have fallen in love with the line, and my next purchase will be the Ava Rose line! I keep staring at them, lol! They have "Charm Squares" that I am going to attempt to make a quilt with, but they were out of stock and I have to wait. :(

Oh, and I am patiently waiting for my new shoes to get here! They are taking forever!

I just love these shoes, they are so cumfy. Hubby thinks they look silly, but I don't care, lol.

Punk Rock Headband!

I finished 2 headbands for the girls! I liked them so much I might make some to add to my Etsy store! I realized AFTER I made them I need to add fabric in between the layers so that the darker one doesn't show through, but I'm ok with it for now. What do you think??? I would LOVE feedback!

I am so excited! I picked up the books I had on hold at the library, and I cannot wait to sit on the sofa with a hot cup of coffee drooling over all the pages! It is sooo cold and snowy out today!

I sent the girls out because they were going stir crazy with no school this week, and it took me 10 minutes just to bundle them all up! The poor things looked the the little boy in The Christmas Story!

I went to a fabric store that I always forget is right by my house, and found out they are going out of business. :( But I got a GREAT deal and LOTS of yummy fabric! 45% off!!!!!

I got my Cupcake swap yesterday, and just LOVED everything!

I am working on headbands for the girls and LOVE LOVE LOVE the way they are turning out! I will share pics when they are done.

Ugh, I am sooooo tired of winter!!! Mia's school called tonight, and there will be NO school tomorrow either. Three days off now. And to top it off, I took Mia to the docs (It was so bad out, I left TWO HOURS early!) and she has a double ear infection. The poor thing. And Ella just can't shake her fever. So I guess it's good there is no school. I took some pics this am of all the snow and ice. We had a HUGE branch fall in the middle of our driveway, and you should have seen me outside trying to move it, lol. Needless to say, it stayed where it was until Brian came home. The girls had a laugh from it!

I found some fabric from a project that I never finished (Imagine that. Me not finish something, lol. I must have 100 projects that I have started but never finished)and made another pincushion. I LOVE how it turned out, I just wish you could see the cool skulls on it.

So I finished this Christmas ornament I have had in my head for a while now, and I think I will be making alot more of these. It's not the best, but I can totally see the potential. I am thinking my next one will be an Easter theme.

I took some pics from around the house, and realized how sparse my living room is, lol. I need MORE PINK! HE HE! Hubby will be sooo happy!

Sick, sick, sick!

Ugh! All 3 of us girls are sick! Mia stayed home from school yesterday with an ear ache, she has a cold, I think I have a sinus infection, and poor Ella has a dozy! She has a cold AND threw up all day yesterday! The poor thing did not eat ANYTHING yesterday! She did wake up this am with a HUGE appetite, so I think it was a 24 hour thing. I woke up to no school for Mia and lots and lots of snow!

I am almost done with my cat for the handmade swap, all I have left to do is add the face and a dress. I know I said I would not make another one, but I think my mom would REALLY like one. She LOVES cats and country stuff, (not my thing) so I think I might try a cat in a cranberry and blue. I have until her B-day in April.

I made a really cute felt bird to send with the cat I am making. I am going to use the pattern to make a few birds for around my house. And of course they will be pink. Hubby is soooo understanding that everything in the house is pink and girly! He never complains! I will have to take some pics and share some time.

So I started to make this felt cupcake, but I really don't like the way it turned out. I think it's just too big. I will try it again making it smaller next time. The girls have already claimed it, so I guess I have to finish it, lol!

I listed my felt cookies on Ebay yesterday, they are not selling on Etsy. :(
I would love some feedback on them.

I made cupcakes for the girls last night, and grandma came over to stay with the girls while we were getting our taxes done, so I sent some home for them to eat. She called back saying I have to make grandpa a whole batch he liked them so much, lol!

I think that's all I have to share for today. Not sure what I am going to get into today. It's only 10 am and the girls are at each other's throats, lol. I hope the fighting gets better!

Ella's 5th Birthday

Today is Ella's 5th b-day. Sniff sniff. :( She had a great time at her party, and I am thankful that I don't have to see Chuck E. Cheese's until next year!!! Two of her friends came to the party and they all had so much fun!
I sent cookies in for her preschool class today, and we are giving her the B-day presents tonight.

I started my cat for the handmade swap I am in and it is harder than I thought. I had to redo the leg and arm already, and have no idea how I am going to attach the head to the body. Sigh. I wish sewing came easy for me. I think it will turn out cute, but this will be the last time I make it, lol!

If you look at my last post, I am making the cat on the cover of "Sew Pretty Homestyle" book.

I finished all the goodies for the "Favorite Color Whimsy Swap" I am in, I just need to add something to the outside of the jar and send it off.

I'm really not in the mood to do any crafting today, so I think I will take a break and lay around on the sofa today. My mom called and told me they moved House from Tuesday to today! I am sooo excited! I haven't been able to see any of this season's house because I work on Tuesday nights. :(

Cold!

I cannot believe how COLD it is right now! When I dropped the girls off at school this am, it was NEGATIVE 4!!!!!! My poor windows in the house are so old, there is ICE on them! Even thinking about going back out makes me shiver!

Yesterday I made one more pincushion, this time it's for me, lol!

Tomorrow is Ella's 5th B-day party at Chuck E. Cheese's, and I realized last night that I didn't have enough goodie bags when I got home from work, so I spent today running around getting a few more things to tuck inside. BTW, don't ever get them from the dollar store! I thought I would save some money and skip the Spongebob bags she wanted for really cute kitty ones I saw, and there is a reason they are in the dollar store! Four of them broke as I was trying to fill them. Ugh.

I went to Jo-anne's today to use my 50% off coupon, and got a book I have had my eye on for a long time. There are so many CUTE projects! I can't wait to get started!

And to top it off, the fabric was 50% off! I have wanted Alexander Henry - Apples and Pears fabric forever, and grabbed it! I want to make Ella a cute bag she can take to ballet.

I am in a Handmade toy swap, and am super excited about it! I will share pics when I start!

Crafting up a storm!

I have been busy creating and I LOVE it! I almost feel like I'm cheating (LOL!)on my Digi scrapping! I have not scrapped since before Christmas! Gasp! He he.

I saw these ornaments in the Martha Stewart magazine and wanted to make one before Christmas, but did not have the time. I love how mine turned out! It was a little confusing at first, and I glued the wrong ends together, but I eventually figured it out. When I make more (wouldn't it be cute if I used spring papers for Easter??) I am going to use a smaller circle to make the finished ornament smaller. I just have to add a ribbon and it will be done. I love how the glitter adds to it.

These are the first pincushions I have ever made and I think I am HOOKED! I love how the pink one turned out! I will be tucking the pink one in my vintage valentine swap, and the brown one I made for another swap I am in where we have to fill a jar with your partners favorite colors. (She likes green and brown). I hope they like them!

Back to normal

Boy does it feel good to have things back to normal. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas, but between that and parties and Mia's B-day, it goes buy so fast and is sooo stressful, I really don't have to enjoy it. So my goal this year is to start in July. I will start buying presents, and crafts long before Christmas so that I will be able to enjoy it next year. Oh, and to spend more time with the kids. I cannot believe Mia is 7 years old already. There are a few things that stick in my head and I will never forget. When she was a toddler, she could not say "grasshopper". So she said "Ha ha hopper". To this day, when Brian and I see a grasshopper, we say "ha ha hopper", lol. Or "carry you" when she wanted to be picked up. I can see her little face turned up at me, arms reaching to be picked up and saying "carry you, carry you". Sniff sniff.
I have been working on a few of the swaps I am in, and am so happy with the way they turned out. I will post pics of the valentine swap I am in when I am done decorating the box.

It feels like FOREVER since I posted something! I thought things were supposed to calm down after the Holidays?? Well, I still have yet to find time to unwind! UGH!! Not to help the matter, I have to work the next 7 days straight! Calgon, take me away!!!!!!! LMAO!
I think my last post was before Mia's Bday party. Her party went very well, one girl couldn't come because the stomach bug was going around and the poor thing caught it. One girl didn't show, but 2 did and they had a GREAT time! I kinda liked that there were only a few, the girls were able to play together.

So I have been doing a lot of thinking, and have wanted for a long time to do something else (Creativly) besides Digi scrapping. Don't get me wrong, that will always be my first love, but I have not been in the mood lately, and have wanted to do something more hands on. Sooo.... I am hoping this time next year I will have a shop on Etsy open.

The girls had a great time on Christmas, and Mia had a good Birthday with the family. Glad it only comes once a year! Ugh! And We have to do it all over again in a few weeks for Ella's B-day!

It's been a while since I posted, but I don't think it's possible for life to get ANY crazier! I have a ton of pics to post!
Yesterday I made the girls teachers Christmas gifts and FORTY FOUR cookies for the girls parties today! Ella's party turned out sooo cute and all the kids had a great time. I'm exhausted and it's only 12:30!!!!!! No rest for a while because tomorrow morning at 11:30 is Mia's B-day party at Chuck E. Cheese! Ugh! I need a vacation!

I made 2 cute baskets full of goodies for the girls teachers. A Trget gift card and "Best teacher" ornament were tucked inside. They turned out so cute I didn't want to give them up, lol!

I loved how these pics turned out! She is such a ham! I have to get some of Mia now. She is on winter break the next 2 weeks (Ugh! 2 whole weeks???) LOL!

Thank goodness I am done wrapping presents! It took me 3 1/2 hours monday night, and I still have to wrap all of Mia's for friday! If i have time tomorrow, I will post pics of Mia's party! Wish me luck,lol!

Gingerbread

I had such a good time today! I went to Mia's school and helped make gingerbread. Now I have heard of this, but never actually SEEN it, but Mia's face LIT UP when she saw me. She had a grin from ear to ear and was so PROUD that her mommy was there to help. It almost made me cry! I LOVE being a mom!
So I found these ADORABLE ribbon candies at Hobby Lobby the other day, and now I am hooked! My goal this weekend is to find more. I don't plan on eating them, just displaying them around the house. We are getting our tree this weekend, and can't wait to start taking pictures!

It's been a while...

I know it's been a while, but you know, life gets in the way, lol. The girls and I drove 5 hours to my mom's house the day after Thanksgiving and spent the weekend. I was good to see family and friends, and the girls had such a good time celebrating their B-days and Christmas with my mom since she usually misses it. last Sat. the girls and my Grandmother went into the back yard (for some reason there were still apples on the trees) and they picked the apples and made apple pie from scratch! It was soooo cute! I am so glad the girls have that memory and I have great pics to remeber it!
I finished a couple layouts and tomorrow will post some pics of the ornaments I have recieved from the Ornament swap I am in. Ok, off to work, will be back tomorrow!

I am in an ornament swap where I have to make 10 ornaments, and in return I will recieve ornaments from 10 different people. I am so excited and I will show you once I get them! Mia was sick today, so she stayed on the sofa and kept me company while I finished my ornaments. They turned out sooo cute! There is only enough ribbon left over for 1 ornament for myself, so I am going to grab some more this weekend to make for my tree.

I made this for another Christmas themed swap I am in and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I will be making more of these!

I wish I had more time! There are sooo many things I want to do before Christmas. URGH!!!!!! I just found these ADORABLE ornaments on Martha Stewart. Maybe this will be a project for next year.

I am so excited Christmas is coming! Some people get mad that the stores have had Christmas stuff up weeks before Halloween, but I love it! In my opinion, the season isn't LONG enough, lol! I started shopping months ago for the girls, and since Mia wanted an American Girl Doll for Christmas, and that taking up most of my spending limit on her, shopping has been alot easier. Since her Birthday is the day after Christmas, I plan on giving her all the accesories for her doll on her Birthday. Ella is easy, lol. Webkins, Webkins, and more Webkins!
I thought I'd share the first Holiday decoration I bought this year! I LOVE LOVE LOVE those little cardboard houses with the fake snow. I have decided I am going to start collecting them. As a child, my grandparents had a little village of them, and every year, I would love to just sit and look at them.

I have noticed this year, all the decorations are more traditional, unlike last year. Last year everywhere I went there were shabby, sweet decorations. Kinda makes me sad. :(

I joined a Snowman theme swap this year, and am SO excited about it! I will upload pics of what I got when it comes!
